Surroundings and excursions

The area around Font Seque with its charming scenery has something to offer for every taste.

Discover the inland with gorges, lakes, plateaus, medieval villages, caves and vineyards. Or the coastal region, with long sandy beaches and nature reserves.

Hiking:
From the farm you will find trails to crumbling ruins, across mountain ridges with magnificent views over the GR77, or to the medieval village of Minerve .

Canoeing:
The "Orb" boasts numerous canoeing opportunities, e.g. in Tarassac or Roquebrun. On the way there, you will find several idyllic spots to take a dip or have a picnic.

Swimming:

The Mediterranean Sea with its beautiful beaches can be reached in approximately 1 hour. If you prefer a little peace and quiet, we recommend the mountain lakes of the Montagne Noir (~ 40km). .

At the Lac de La Raviège near Salvetat-sur-Agout there are several apportunities to sail and try various other water sports.

In addition, there are several nice swimming opportunities along nearby rivers such as the Cesse or the Orb. Another higlight is the Gorges d'Héric, a wild and romantic gorge with beautiful walking trails and hidden water holes!

Cycling:

A mountain bike tour is a great way to explore the surrounding countryside with all it has to offer. If you cannot bring your own bike, there are bicycles for hire in nearby St. Chinian and St. Pons.
 
Further activities:

Visit village festivals, fairs and ferias in nearby towns.

Explore flowstone caves, grottos and the castles of the Cathars!
